Dyson is expanding its beauty portfolio with the Omega Nourishing Collection, a line of leave-in hair products designed to support smoothing, conditioning, shine, and protection from heat-related damage.
The collection centers on two products: a hydrating hair oil and a leave-in conditioning spray.
What’s in the Collection?
The collection includes:
- Dyson Omega Hydrating Hair Oil
- Dyson Omega Leave-In Conditioning Spray
- A refillable cartridge for the conditioning spray
Both formulas are silicone-free and contain Oli7, Dyson’s proprietary blend of seven plant-derived oils:
- Sunflower oil
- Macadamia oil
- Abyssinian oil
- Avocado oil
- Olive oil
- Corn oil
- Sesame oil
The sunflower seed oil used in the blend is grown on Dyson-owned farms.
Omega Hydrating Hair Oil
The hydrating hair oil is intended to smooth the hair, reduce the appearance of frizz, and increase shine without relying on silicones.
According to Dyson, the product increased hair shine by up to 261% when used with the Dyson Airstrait, compared with untreated hair. This figure is based on company testing and may not reflect the results every user will experience.
Omega Leave-In Conditioning Spray
The leave-in conditioning spray is designed to detangle, condition, and smooth the hair. Dyson also states that the formula provides heat protection up to 450°F and includes UV protection.
In company testing, Dyson reported a reduction in breakage of up to 73% across all hair types and up to 85% in curly hair, compared with untreated hair.
Who Are the Products Designed For?
According to Dyson, both products are suitable for:
- Straight, wavy, curly, and coily hair
- Color-treated hair
- Chemically processed hair
- Regular use with heated styling tools
The lightweight, silicone-free positioning may appeal to people who want smoothing and conditioning benefits without a heavier coating on the hair.
What to Keep in Mind
The performance figures associated with the collection come from Dyson’s own testing. Independent testing and long-term consumer experience will provide more context on how consistently the products perform across different hair types, routines, and environmental conditions.
The collection is notable primarily for combining plant oils, heat-protection claims, and leave-in conditioning in formulas designed to complement Dyson’s styling tools.
