Pico Majesty, also known as PicoCare Majesty, is a picosecond laser developed by Wontech, a South Korean medical laser company established in 1999 with devices distributed to more than 60 countries. It holds the distinction of being the world’s first commercially available 250 picosecond Nd:YAG laser, making it the fastest pulse duration of any picosecond system currently on the market. It is cleared by both the FDA and Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

How It Works

Pico Majesty delivers laser energy at 250 picoseconds at 1064nm and 190 picoseconds at 532nm. At these speeds, the laser works primarily through a photoacoustic effect, generating shockwaves that shatter pigment particles rather than relying on heat. This means less thermal diffusion to surrounding tissue and a lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation compared to older nanosecond and Q-switched lasers.

For scar revision and skin rejuvenation, the HEXA Micro Lens Array (MLA) handpiece focuses the beam into an array of high-density microbeams that create Laser-Induced Optical Breakdown (LIOB) within the dermis. This stimulates collagen and elastin production without breaking the skin surface, making it a non-ablative approach to meaningful dermal remodeling.

What It Treats

Pico Majesty addresses a wide range of concerns including sunspots, freckles, melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, ABNOM, nevus of Ota, atrophic acne scars, enlarged pores, and overall skin texture and tone. Its multi-wavelength capability spanning 1064nm, 532nm, 595nm, and 660nm also makes it effective for tattoo removal across a broad spectrum of ink colors.

Seven specialized handpieces allow treatments to be precisely tailored to the indication and depth being targeted, which is one of the more clinically flexible setups in the picosecond category.
